Website Terms
These terms apply to the House & Co. website and initial inquiry process. A separate signed consignment agreement governs accepted merchandise.
Inquiry only
Submitting information or photographs does not guarantee merchandise acceptance, confirm a private appointment, create a consignment relationship, or obligate House & Co. to sell anything. Merchandise is accepted only after in-person inspection and written terms.
Eligibility and authority
You must own the merchandise or be authorized by its owner to submit it. Information should be accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not submit counterfeit, stolen, or unlawfully obtained property.
Review, collection, and private appointments
House & Co. may decline merchandise or an appointment at its discretion. Individual collection is primarily available in Sequim, Port Angeles, and surrounding Clallam County. Private appointments are offered selectively across the Olympic Peninsula, Kitsap County, and select Greater Seattle communities based on merchandise, collection size, location, schedule, and capacity.
Complimentary private appointments are limited to qualifying collections. A private appointment is focused on evaluating and collecting consignable merchandise; it is not general organizing, cleaning, packing, moving, junk removal, or unrestricted donation hauling.
Commission summary
For accepted merchandise, the public model is 60% of the final selling price to the client and 40% to House & Co. House & Co. covers ordinary marketplace fees, standard shipping expenses, selling-related advertising, photography, listing expenses, and resale operating expenses from its 40% share. Separately collected sales tax and buyer-paid shipping, if any, are not part of the selling price used for the split.
Selling authority
The signed agreement establishes an expected resale range and minimum acceptable selling price. It authorizes House & Co. to select platforms, create and manage listings, determine and adjust asking prices, and negotiate, accept, decline, or counter offers without seeking separate approval for each decision, while honoring the agreed minimum.
Payment, returns, and unsold merchandise
Payout is due only after a completed transaction has cleared applicable return and refund periods, according to the timing and method in the signed agreement. A canceled or fully refunded order is not a completed sale. The agreement governs returns, partial refunds, chargebacks, payout adjustments, possession, risk allocation, and other operational terms.
House & Co. reviews unsold inventory and pricing at least every 90 days. If merchandise remains unsold after 12 months, House & Co. contacts the client to discuss return or a revised selling strategy. No sale, price, or selling timeframe is guaranteed.
Website use
You may use this site only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, upload harmful files, or submit information that violates another person’s rights.
Content and availability
We aim for accuracy but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. If a website summary conflicts with a signed consignment agreement, the signed agreement controls for accepted merchandise.
