Frequently Asked Questions

Clear Answers Before You Consign

The website summarizes how House & Co. works. The signed consignment agreement contains the binding terms for accepted merchandise.

How much do I receive?

You receive 60% of the final selling price for each completed sale. House & Co. retains 40%.

Are there additional selling fees?

No. Ordinary marketplace fees, standard shipping expenses, selling-related advertising, photography, listings, and resale operating expenses are covered from House & Co.’s 40% share.

When do I get paid?

Payout occurs after the transaction has cleared applicable return and refund periods. The exact timing, method, and reporting process are stated in the signed agreement.

Do you collect my items?

Yes. We arrange collection for merchandise that is preliminarily approved. Final acceptance depends on in-person inspection, condition, reasonable authenticity verification, and written terms.

What types of items qualify?

We focus on luxury handbags and leather goods, fine jewelry, luxury watches, designer clothing and outerwear, premium footwear and accessories, and select collectibles or fine goods. Each accepted item must have an estimated resale value of at least $200.

How do private appointments work?

Submit several overview photographs and basic information about the collection. If it appears to qualify, we contact you to arrange a complimentary private visit. Inquiries are evaluated by collection, location, and availability and are not automatically approved.

Do I need to document every item first?

No. For a private-appointment inquiry, a few overview photographs, approximate item count, categories, and notable brands are enough for preliminary screening.

Is a private appointment an organizing service?

No. The visit is focused on identifying and collecting merchandise suitable for consignment. We do not provide extensive cleaning, general organizing, packing, moving, or junk removal.

How do you determine prices?

We research comparable sales, condition, demand, and the intended sales channel. Before acceptance, we establish an expected resale range and minimum acceptable selling price.

Do I approve every buyer offer?

No. The signed agreement authorizes House & Co. to manage pricing and offers within the agreed limits, including accepting, declining, or countering offers while honoring the minimum selling price.

Can I see my item listed?

If an item is listed on eBay, we provide a direct link. Not every item will be sold on eBay; House & Co. selects the sales channel suited to the merchandise.

What if merchandise does not sell?

We review unsold inventory and pricing at least every 90 days. If an item remains unsold after 12 months, we contact you about return or a revised selling strategy.

What happens after a buyer return?

A canceled or fully refunded order is not a completed sale. The signed agreement explains how returns, partial refunds, chargebacks, and any payout adjustments are handled.

Is a sale guaranteed?

No. Acceptance reflects resale potential, but House & Co. does not guarantee a sale, price, or selling timeframe.
