Designed for Valuable Collections

Convenience without the selling work.

This service is designed for clients with a meaningful group of potentially consignable pieces—not general household organizing or removal.

Wardrobe Refreshes

Designer clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories you are ready to part with.

Downsizing

A selective review of luxury and fine goods during a larger life or home transition.

Estate & Private Collections

Groups of jewelry, watches, collectibles, or fine goods that warrant individual resale review.

Time-Sensitive Households

For clients who value privacy and prefer a professional to manage research, listings, buyers, and fulfillment.

The Private Edit

Focused on what may be worth selling.

During a qualifying appointment, we help you identify suitable pieces for resale.

Each accepted item must have an estimated resale value of at least $200 and meet our condition, authenticity, and demand standards. Approved merchandise is documented and collected under a signed consignment agreement.

This is not a cleaning, moving, housekeeping, or home-organizing service.

What the appointment includes

  • A focused review of the submitted collection
  • Identification of pieces that meet our resale standards
  • In-person condition and authenticity review
  • Documentation of accepted merchandise
  • Clear written consignment terms
  • Collection of approved items for professional resale

How It Works

A considered process from inquiry to payment.

A few overview photographs are enough for the preliminary review. You do not need to document every item individually.

01

Private Inquiry

Share your location, approximate collection size, merchandise categories, notable brands if known, and several overview photographs.

02

Preliminary Review

We consider resale potential, collection size, location, and appointment availability.

03

Personal Appointment

If the collection qualifies, we arrange a complimentary private visit. An inquiry does not automatically confirm an appointment.

04

Edit & Collection

We review the collection with you, document approved merchandise, and finalize the consignment agreement before collection.

05

Professional Resale

House & Co. manages research, photography, pricing, listings, negotiations, buyer communication, fulfillment, and returns.

06

Payment & Reporting

You receive 60% of completed sales after applicable return and refund periods have cleared, with consolidated sales information according to the agreement.

The Same Clear Commission

60% to you. 40% to House & Co.

House & Co. pays ordinary marketplace fees, selling-related advertising, standard shipping expenses, photography, and resale operating expenses from our 40% share.

No separate platform fee or ordinary selling expense is deducted from your 60%.

Discreet by design

Personal information, client identities, and in-home photographs are treated confidentially. Home photographs are used to evaluate the inquiry and are not publicly shared without authorization.

Accepted merchandise may be photographed and marketed for resale under the signed agreement without identifying the client or residence.

Private Inquiry

We’ll review the information and contact you if the collection appears to qualify for next steps.

Private Appointment FAQ

Before you inquire.

Is the appointment complimentary?

Yes, for qualifying collections. Appointments are offered selectively and are not automatically confirmed by an inquiry.

Do I need to photograph every item?

No. Several overview photographs and a short description are enough for the preliminary review.

Will you take everything?

No. Consignment merchandise must meet our standards, and final acceptance is at our discretion after in-person review.

Is this a closet-organizing service?

No. The appointment is focused on identifying and collecting merchandise suitable for consignment.

Can you take donations?

Our service focuses on approved consignment pieces. Please arrange separate collection for items that are not accepted for resale.

Is every item guaranteed to sell?

No. We professionally manage accepted merchandise, but no sale, price, or selling timeframe is guaranteed.
